Mexican Modernism – Furniture Design in Mexico – Part # 1 » Luis Barragán´s Barcelona Chair (1959)
Modeled after Mies van der Rohe’s iconic Barcelona Chair but made with the spirit of Luis Barragan’s original “Butaca”. Materials: Sabino wood and leather (original cushions missing). The chair has a matching ottoman. Impressed inventory mark “LUIS BARRAGAN CASA PRIETO 1959”.
